AFRICOM: Two American Soldiers Missing After Military Exercises in Morocco
SadaNews - The U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM) announced on Sunday that two soldiers went missing in southwestern Morocco after participating in multinational military exercises in the country.
The command reported the loss of "two American soldiers who were involved in the African Lion exercises near a training area in Morocco on Saturday."
It mentioned that the United States, Morocco, and other countries participating in the African Lion exercise were conducting a coordinated search and rescue operation on land, air, and sea.
AFRICOM added: "The incident is still under investigation and the search operation is ongoing."
