Death of Kamel Kharrazi Due to Wounds Sustained from American-Israeli Airstrikes
SadaNews - Iranian media reported that former Iranian Foreign Minister Kamel Kharrazi passed away on Thursday due to wounds he sustained from American-Israeli airstrikes on April 1.
Kharrazi, 81, served as Iran's ambassador to the United Nations in New York and later became the foreign minister from 1997 to 2005 during the reformist presidency of Mohammad Khatami.
The agencies "Mehr" and "ISNA" reported on "Telegram" that the veteran diplomat "who was injured in a terrorist attack carried out by the American-Zionist enemy a few days ago, was martyred tonight." His wife was killed in the airstrike that targeted their home in Tehran, according to Iranian media.
The Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and several senior military and political figures have been killed in airstrikes since the start of the war in the Middle East with American-Israeli attacks on February 28.
