SadaNews - The Iranian judiciary announced today, Thursday, the execution of 3 individuals convicted of killing police officers and carrying out operations for the United States and Israel during the protests that took place in the country earlier this year.

The "Mizan Online" website, affiliated with the judiciary, reported that "3 individuals convicted during the January riots of murder and carrying out operations for the Zionist regime and the United States were executed by hanging this morning."

The judiciary stated that the three individuals were convicted of "moharebeh" (enmity against God), including committing acts described as serving the interests of Israel and the United States. The executions were carried out in the city of Qom, according to Reuters.

The authorities added that the three participated in attacks using knives and other weapons during protests on January 8, resulting in the deaths of two police officers.

Yesterday, the Mizan news agency affiliated with the Iranian judiciary announced that the authorities executed a man accused of spying for Israel, naming him as Kourosh Kiyvani.

The agency added that the man was convicted of "providing the Israeli intelligence service, Mossad, with images and information about important locations in Iran."
