Iranian Revolutionary Guard Bombards US Aircraft Carrier with 4 Missiles

SadaNews - The Iranian Revolutionary Guard has targeted the US aircraft carrier "USS Abraham Lincoln" with four ballistic missiles, according to the Revolutionary Guard's media office.

In a statement published by Iranian state television, it was mentioned: "Due to operations by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the US Navy's aircraft carrier 'USS Abraham Lincoln' was attacked with four ballistic missiles."

For the second consecutive day, multiple explosions were heard on Sunday in Tehran, amidst a US-Israeli attack that Iran is responding to with strikes on Israel and several Gulf states.

The explosions were heard in northern Tehran, and smoke was observed rising from one of the buildings.

The Israeli army announced the destruction of the majority of air defense systems in western and central Iran, noting that missile launch platforms in Iran were targeted.

Earlier, the Israeli army confirmed launching a broad wave of strikes on targets in the heart of the Iranian capital, Tehran, explaining that the air force had conducted intensive attacks in the past twenty-four hours to achieve air superiority and open the way to Tehran.

The command of the Home Front of the army confirmed that it had "called up about 20,000 reservists" to assist the civilian population, as Israel faces Iranian strikes in response to the US-Israeli attack against it.

It was noted that the Home Front command has "mobilized nearly 20,000 reservists" who have joined "in the past twenty-four hours the regular and reserve forces operating across the country."
