Gerassimov: Our Forces Liberated 8 Cities and Towns in Eastern Ukraine in Two Weeks
SadaNews - The Chief of the Russian General Staff, Valery Gerassimov, announced the liberation of 8 cities and towns over an area of 300 square kilometers in eastern Ukraine within two weeks, and the continued advance of Russian forces on all fronts.
Gerassimov stated during his inspection of the "Center" forces at the Dnipropretrovsk axis in eastern Ukraine: "Our forces continue to advance on all fronts, and after the liberation of the city of Kupiansk in the Kharkov region last November, the enemy has repeatedly tried to pretend to have a presence in the city."
He added that Ukrainian forces also attempted to raise Ukrainian flags on administrative buildings in Kupiansk using drones, but these attempts were thwarted.
He confirmed that the "West" Russian forces are close to completing the liberation of the neighboring city of Kupiansk-Ozlovaya in the Kharkov region.
He said: "The liberation of Kupiansk-Ozlovaya is just around the corner."
