Death of a Seven-Day-Old Infant Due to Cold in Gaza Strip
SadaNews - Medical sources reported the death of a seven-day-old infant this morning, Saturday, in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip, due to the severe cold and low temperatures.
The death toll resulting from the atmospheric depression and extreme cold in the Gaza Strip has exceeded 15 cases.
These figures reflect the gravity of the humanitarian situation in the region, particularly affecting children and displaced individuals living in makeshift, unfit tents to withstand the cold weather, while the residents of Gaza struggle with a lack of shelter and medical care, as well as the absence of heating means due to fuel shortages amidst a stormy, cold, and rainy weather system.
