Head of the Fuel Owners Syndicate to "SadaNews": The Currency Deposit Crisis in Banks is Over

Exclusive to SadaNews - Samer Abu Hadeed, the head of the Fuel Owners Syndicate, announced in a phone call with "SadaNews" that the crisis regarding the deposit of the shekel in Palestinian banks has been resolved.

Abu Hadeed stated that the crisis has been resolved with the Monetary Authority, allowing fuel station owners in the West Bank to deposit half the value of invoices from fuel sales in the banks, in accordance with the previously applied system.

He also announced the suspension of protest activities that were set to take place in several governorates in the West Bank in protest against the banks' refusal to deposit the proceeds from fuel sales, which nearly led to the closure of these fuel stations had the crisis continued.

He noted that a meeting will be held between the Fuel Owners Syndicate and the Monetary Authority during this week to officially announce this agreement.
