Hamas Movement: The Suffering of Displaced People in Gaza Intensifies Amid the Occupation's Failure to Fulfill Its Commitments Under the Ceasefire Agreement
SadaNews - The Hamas Movement published a statement today, Thursday, which included the following:
"In light of the criminal Zionist occupation's procrastination and its evasion of its commitments under the ceasefire agreement, particularly regarding the humanitarian protocol and the obstruction of essential shelter materials; the humanitarian suffering of our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip is intensifying as winter approaches and the severe weather fronts and storms hit the shelters and dilapidated tents."
"In the face of this catastrophic humanitarian reality, we, in the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), affirm the following:
- The criminal enemy bears full responsibility for the tragic conditions our people are living in Gaza, as a result of its blockade preventing the entry of shelter materials, deliberately exacerbating the suffering of hundreds of thousands of displaced persons as winter begins and tents are unable to withstand the cold and storms.
- We call on the mediators and the guarantor states of the ceasefire agreement to take urgent action and apply direct pressure on the occupation government to allow the entry of all necessary shelter materials without restrictions, and to open the Rafah crossing in both directions, in accordance with the agreement, in a way that ensures the dignity of the affected individuals.
- We demand that Arab and Islamic countries, as well as all nations and peoples around the world, intensify their efforts and solidarity with our people, and press on the occupation to stop its ongoing violations, and to compel it to adhere to the provisions of the humanitarian protocol, enabling our people to recover and begin rebuilding what the occupation has destroyed."
