Flooding of Displaced Persons' Tents in Gaza for the Second Day Due to Low Atmospheric Pressure (Video)
SadaNews - The suffering of the displaced in the Gaza Strip continues for the second consecutive day as the low atmospheric pressure affecting the region persists, accompanied by heavy rains, leading to the flooding of numerous tents in various areas within the strip. The floods have inundated vast areas of makeshift camps, amid the absence of infrastructure and alternative shelters.
The Civil Defense in Gaza announced that it has carried out urgent evacuation operations for dozens of displaced persons after their tents were completely submerged, particularly in the southern areas which experienced heavy rainfall over the past two days. The teams confirmed that operations are taking place under extremely difficult conditions due to limited resources.
The Civil Defense warned of a worsening humanitarian situation if the low atmospheric pressure continues in the coming hours, noting that the lack of temporary or alternative housing places thousands of families at increasing risk, especially children and the elderly, calling for urgent intervention from international and relief bodies to mitigate the scale of the disaster.
