Netanyahu Orders Strong Strikes on Gaza and Anticipates Call with Trump
Translation by SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military this evening, Tuesday, to carry out strong strikes on the Gaza Strip immediately.
This came after reports of the death of an Israeli soldier from the Kfir Brigade in a new security incident that took place in the city of Rafah in southern Gaza.
It also coincided with Israeli accusations against Hamas of violating the ceasefire by delaying the delivery of bodies in its possession.
Furthermore, Channel 14 reported that Netanyahu will speak with U.S. President Donald Trump tonight to discuss the response to what they referred to as "Hamas violations," as translated by SadaNews.
In this context, Kan 11 Hebrew Channel mentioned, citing a foreign source involved in the communications, that in recent days, meetings were held between Israeli, Qatari, and American representatives in several Western countries, in an attempt to find solutions to the crisis of bodies with Hamas.
It stated that the trilateral meetings also addressed the countries and parties that would join the international force in Gaza.
The mediators proposed that technical teams comprising representatives from all five countries - the United States, Israel, Qatar, Turkey, and Egypt - enter Gaza together to help locate the abductees.
It pointed out that Israel did not show support for this and only endorsed the entry of an Egyptian team, which occurred last Saturday.
The Egyptians reported difficulties in locating the missing individuals and that more technical teams were needed.
