Trump "in excellent health" after undergoing his routine medical check-up

SadaNews - A physician reported that US President Donald Trump is "in excellent overall health" following his second routine check-up this year.

Trump, 79 years old and the oldest elected president in US history, visited the Walter Reed Medical Center near Washington on Friday morning for his annual routine examination.

When journalists asked him about the results upon his return to the White House, Trump raised his thumb high in a show of satisfaction.

His doctor, Sean Parbhala, wrote in a letter published by the White House: "President Trump continues to demonstrate excellent overall health."

He added that "his heart age, a measure of cardiovascular vitality via an electrocardiogram, is about 14 years younger than his chronological age. He continues to adhere to a demanding daily schedule without limitations," according to the "Associated Press".

Parbhala stated that Trump underwent a series of routine tests and received a booster dose of the "COVID-19" vaccine along with the annual flu shot.

The White House had previously announced in July that Trump suffers from venous insufficiency, after photos surfaced showing bruises on his hands.

The White House clarified at that time that the bruises were the result of "frequent handshakes" and that the president takes aspirin "as part of a preventive regimen for cardiovascular diseases."

The White House had announced earlier this week that the scheduled medical examination on Friday would be "annual," even though Trump had undergone such a check in April.

Trump told reporters in the White House on Thursday that "he would undergo a semi-annual physical exam," adding, "I am in excellent physical condition, I am not having any trouble so far... Physically, I feel really good. Mentally, I feel really good."

Trump noted that during the last medical examination, "I also underwent a cognitive evaluation, which is always risky because if I do not perform well, you will be the first to announce it, and I got a full score."

Trump is accused of lacking transparency regarding his health, having denied in September rumors circulating on social media about his health, including false posts claiming his death.

In his last medical examination, the White House stated that his health was good and that "his heart structure and functions are normal, with no signs of heart failure, renal dysfunction, or systemic diseases."

Trump does not drink alcohol or smoke, but he does not hide his passion for soft drinks and fast food.
