36 Injuries Following Assault by Occupation Forces and Settlers in Beita, Hawara, and Deir Sharaf in Nablus
SadaNews - The Ministry of Health reported that its medical teams dealt today, Friday, with 36 injuries resulting from the assault by the Israeli occupation army and settlers on citizens in the towns of: Beita, Hawara, and Deir Sharaf in Nablus governorate.
The ministry indicated in a brief statement that among the injuries, two were due to gunshot wounds, while the others were related to physical assault. All injuries were described as mild to moderate, and they were transported to Rafidia Government Hospital in the city of Nablus and to the emergency center in Beita town to the south.
The Red Crescent Society indicated that it dealt with seven injuries, including journalists Jaafar Ashtey and Wahaq Bani Mflah, resulting from the attack by settlers on olive pickers in Beita, while our correspondent confirmed that journalists Yazan Hamayel and Saja Al-Alami were affected by tear gas inhalation.
A number of settlers attacked citizens while they were picking olives in the Qmas area of the town, physically assaulting them and setting fire to four vehicles belonging to citizens that were on-site, leading to their destruction, including a vehicle belonging to Agence France-Presse photographer Jaafar Ashtey.
Israeli soldiers also stormed the area and fired sound bombs and toxic tear gas canisters at the citizens, resulting in several injuries from tear gas inhalation.
