The Israeli government allocates a budget to fund the terrorist settlement organization "Youth of the Hills"

SadaNews - The government is funding members of the terrorist settlement organization "Youth of the Hills" by providing 50 shekels daily to each member to purchase food and clothing through vouchers distributed to them. This is part of a government plan that claims to prevent the terrorist attacks they carry out against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.

The "Wynet" website revealed today, Monday, a document from the Israeli Ministry of Settlement that includes details of the funding plan for the "Youth of the Hills" organization, which is considered one of Israel's arms in seizing Palestinian lands and displacing residents of Bedouin communities in the West Bank through terrorist attacks against them.

The Israeli government will implement this plan with a budget of 5.5 million shekels, starting from this June until the end of the year. The funds will be transferred to the regional councils of settlements and officials in outposts described as farms, which were established on lands seized or confiscated from Palestinians and are inhabited by members of the organization, numbering 657 settlers, with 225 of them located in the Ramallah area, 129 in Nablus, 120 in the Jordan Valley, 99 in Mount Hebron, and 84 in areas south of Bethlehem, according to "Wynet."

"Wynet" added that food and clothing are only a small part of the government plan, which has a budget of 120 million shekels, involving several ministries, including the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Settlement, headed by settler Orit Strok, which funds other areas in the outposts, while the Ministry of Defense funds plans to encourage members of "Youth of the Hills" to enlist in the army.

According to "Wynet", some Israeli security officials criticized the plan after its approval, stating that the government does not invest in enforcing criminal law against members of the organization. The commander of the Central Command of the Israeli army, Avi Blot, said last month regarding the attacks by the organization's members on Israeli army forces, "We are one step away from a major disaster," and that "these violent acts are neither legal nor moral, and they are not Jewish either."

"Wynet" quoted sources in the Israeli government stating that "in this government, the prime minister and ministers recognize the importance of the outposts and farms in maintaining security and preventing Palestinian control over the lands."

According to the sources, the aim of the government plan is to "establish a welfare and educational framework for them in order to sustain this project and prevent them from turning to violence, and the food and clothing budget aims to strengthen these elements' relationship with the authorities and their commitment to it."

However, "Wynet" pointed out that in the meantime, "national crime is escalating," meaning the terrorism of settlers in the West Bank, who stormed the town of Hawara and assaulted Palestinian citizens and burned cars there last Saturday.
