"Doctors Without Borders": The Health Infrastructure in Gaza Has Suffered Severe Damage
SadaNews - Eitor Zabalguigazcu, an official from "Doctors Without Borders", stated that the health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip has suffered severe damage due to the ongoing genocide being carried out by Israel for the past two years.
He added in a press statement that health sector workers are suffering like other civilians from the consequences of the genocide, saying, "We have lost 15 of our colleagues over the past two years, which is a dreadful thing for us."
He pointed out that the health infrastructure has sustained severe damage, with hospitals in some areas completely out of service, and in other areas, there are hospitals partially destroyed, but people cannot reach them.
He continued, "As for the hospitals that are still able to provide services, they have had to work outside their complexes and are in a state of complete exhaustion."
Zabalguigazcu, an emergency coordinator at the organization, indicated that hospitals are facing significant difficulties in generating electricity, providing water, chlorine, and fuel, as well as difficulties in providing food for patients.
He explained that medical staff have been working under these conditions for two years and are completely exhausted, also suffering due to Israeli attacks.
