Families of Israeli Hostages After the Attack on Qatar: Netanyahu Destroys Everything That Leads to Ending the War

SadaNews - Families of Israeli hostages protested outside the Ministry of Defense in Tel Aviv, coinciding with the start of Israeli protests in the city and in other key towns and intersections against Netanyahu's government, calling for a prisoner exchange deal and an end to the war on Gaza.

The families of the Israeli hostages expressed their opposition to the attack on the Qatari capital, Doha, and the assassination attempts on Hamas leaders.

The spokesperson for the families of the hostages and mother of a hostage in Gaza said, "This week we witnessed the complete failure of the Prime Minister, when he risked the lives of the abductees and attempted to assassinate the Hamas negotiating delegation, while they were discussing a deal for the release of my son."

She added, "President (Donald) Trump said yesterday that every time there is progress in negotiations, Netanyahu bombs someone. But he did not attempt to bomb Hamas leaders; rather, he bombed our families' chances of bringing our loved ones back."

The spokesperson for the families of the Israeli hostages continued, "He bombed our hope as citizens to live a normal life, and Zionism and the future of the state. If he had listened to the head of the Mossad, the head of the National Security Council, the Chief of Staff, and the negotiating team, he could have avoided this failure and not undermined the deal."

She stated, "Netanyahu is destroying everything that could lead to ending the war, including the hostages themselves," noting that her son "suffers from muscle dystrophy and is struggling to survive inside an underground tunnel, and Netanyahu has already attempted to bomb him there. Soldiers are sent to fight in the hope of rescuing the hostages, but Netanyahu sends them to death ambushes."

She called on the Israeli public to join the protests, adding, "Netanyahu is sacrificing the hostages and the soldiers on the altar of his political survival. He is condemning us to an endless war of a political nature. Come out with us into the streets."

Protests and demonstrations have erupted in many towns and key intersections with the participation of thousands of Israelis, including in occupied Jerusalem, Haifa, Beit She'an, and Be'er Sheva, in addition to many key intersections such as Zichron Ya'akov, Karkur, Nahhalal, Tzemach, Hatzor, Karmiel, Rosh Pina, Kabri, and Nahariya.
