The Occupation Intelligence Summons Jerusalem Governor Adnan Ghaith for Interrogation
SadaNews - This morning, Wednesday, the Israeli occupation intelligence summoned Adnan Ghaith, a member of the Revolutionary Council of Fatah and the Governor of Jerusalem, for interrogation at the occupation police station in occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate clarified that this summons comes as part of a long series of arbitrary measures that Ghaith has faced since he assumed his duties as Governor of Jerusalem in 2018. During this period, the occupation authorities imposed harsh military orders against him, which included banning him from entering the West Bank and restricting his movement within a narrow geographical map that does not extend beyond the boundaries of the neighborhood he resides in, in the town of Silwan. Additionally, he has been prohibited from communicating with 51 national and official figures, including other Palestinian political and security leaders, for the seventh consecutive year.
It is worth mentioning that Ghaith has been subjected to over two years of house arrest in his home in Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in an attempt to sever his connection to the political and national scene in the occupied capital.
Through these ongoing measures, the occupation authorities aim to restrict the work and movements of national figures, as part of a policy aimed at combating the Palestinian presence and sovereignty in Jerusalem, and imposing a substitute based on a Jewish sovereignty enforced by force.
