
Wide Arrest Campaign in the West Bank.. Fire Erupts in Nablus Due to Tear Gas Canisters
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces launched a wide arrest campaign at dawn on Thursday across various areas of the West Bank, targeting at least 15 citizens, including released prisoners, after raiding and searching their homes.
In Hebron, the occupation arrested young man Mohammed Taisir Al-Mutawer from the Jargis area in the town of Sa'ir, northeast of the city, in addition to Nimer Al-Atiri and his son Mohammed from the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
In Nablus, occupation forces stormed several neighborhoods and camps, including Balata, Al-Ein, and Askar, and raided a metal workshop around Balata camp.
The forces arrested a young man from University Street whose identity is still unknown, alongside youths Sohaib Khalid from Al-Ein camp and Umama Ma'ruf from the city’s neighborhoods.
The arrests also included 8 young men from Qalqilya governorate, among them five from the city and three from the town of Izzun to the east. Among the detainees are: Dawood Al-Sharif, teenagers Majid Al-Aqari and Yazan Al-Fayumi, and released prisoner Alaa Shtewi.
In Salfit, the occupation forces arrested young man Ahmad Abdul Karim Al-Dik from the town of Kfar Dik, west of the city.
Simultaneously with the incursions, a fire broke out in the cypress trees surrounding the National Hospital in downtown Nablus due to tear gas canisters fired by the occupation forces in the vicinity.
The firefighting and rescue crews from the Municipality of Nablus reported that they were able to control the fire and evacuate some patient rooms after thick smoke seeped into the hospital. The electricity was also restored after it was cut off from parts of the hospital and some sections were damaged.
