Occupation Storms Ramallah and Extends Closure of Al Jazeera Office
SadaNews - The Israeli occupation army stormed the building holding the closed Al Jazeera network headquarters in the center of Ramallah early this morning.
The occupation forces extended the closure of the office for an additional 60 days, and placed a military order at the entrance of the headquarters regarding this.

Last September, the occupation army stormed the Al Jazeera office in Ramallah under a military order, delivering a closure decision to its employees, confiscating all devices and documents, and preventing them from using their vehicles.
In response, Al Jazeera network condemned the actions of the Israeli occupation forces for storming and closing its office, asserting that these repressive measures aim to prevent the world from witnessing the reality of the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the war on Gaza, as reactions condemning this action continue to mount.
The network described the storming of its office as a criminal act in a statement and stated that Israel's ongoing suppression of free journalism aims to hide its actions in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank.
In May 2024, the Israeli government approved a proposal by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi to close Al Jazeera offices in Israel, with the decision taking immediate effect upon the signature of the Communications Minister, under what has been termed the "Al Jazeera Law."
