Gideon Levy: Israel Now Has a Plan for Ethnic Cleansing in Gaza Like the Nazis
SadaNews - Israeli writer Gideon Levy stated that it has become clear now, for the first time since the onset of the war on Gaza, that Israel has a clear and deliberate plan for ethnic cleansing and forcibly compelling Palestinians to leave the sector.
He added that the Israeli leadership is no longer just reacting to the Islamic resistance movement (Hamas), but is strategically working to empty the besieged sector of its Palestinian inhabitants.
In his article in Haaretz, Levy compared Israeli policies to the methods employed by Nazi Germany during World War II to facilitate the emigration of Jews, where a central agency was established for this purpose, headed by Adolf Eichmann.
He noted that Joseph Bruni, the father of the current Israeli intelligence agency (Mossad) chief David Barnea, was three years old when he fled Nazi Germany with his parents before the evacuation plan for Jews was implemented.
The leftist Israeli writer highlighted in his article that Barnea the grandson visited Washington last week to discuss the evacuation of Gaza's population. He added that Israeli Channel 12 reported that Barnea informed U.S. officials that Israel had begun talks with three countries to persuade them to accept the displaced Palestinians in their territories.
Levy remarked that it is ironic that history has turned shy, as Barnea—being the grandson of one of the Jewish refugees who experienced ethnic cleansing in Nazi Germany—talks about ethnic cleansing against Palestinians without considering the memory of the Holocaust.

The article's author revealed that the first phase of the plan to expel two million Palestinians from their homeland includes moving a significant portion of the population to a concentration camp to facilitate an effective deportation process.
He noted that the BBC published an investigative report last week based on satellite images, showing the systematic destruction carried out by the Israeli army throughout the Gaza Strip, where village after village is wiped off the face of the earth and leveled to make way for the construction of a concentration camp, making life in Gaza no longer feasible.
He went on to say that Israel is quietly committing a crime against humanity by systematically eliminating any chance for life there, preparing the infrastructure to gather Palestinians in a "humanitarian" city intended to be a transit camp before their deportation to Libya, Ethiopia, and Indonesia, which are the destinations identified by Barnea, according to Channel 12's report.

Levy described what Israel is doing as a long-term plan for ethnic cleansing in the Gaza Strip, stating that no one can now accuse Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of waging a war without a goal; "there is a goal, and it is a criminal goal," adding that no one can say anymore to Israeli military leaders that their soldiers are dying for no reason: "They are dying in a war of ethnic cleansing."
According to the writer, if the humanitarian aid project has already cost hundreds of Palestinian lives in Gaza, then the deportation will cost tens of thousands of lives, warning that nothing will stop Israel from implementing its plan. Levy seems to hint at international complicity in this regard.
In a suggestive commentary that carries irony, he concluded his article by referring to David Barnea not as the Mossad chief, but as the head of what he called the "Central Agency for Palestinian Immigration," even describing him as a "compliant senior employee who has never caused any friction with his superiors."
Levy asked: "Does that sound familiar?" He sarcastically stated: "If asked to rescue hostages, he would do it. If asked to prepare for the deportation of millions of people, that's a task that poses no problem for him; he’s just a conveyor of orders after all."
