Gaza on the Brink of Death.. Resisting

After "the Iron Swords" have been broken and "Gideon's Chariots" have been shattered, Gaza stands on the brink of death, tying the "bands" of patience to the hungry stomachs of its children, as it fights the last battle of existence, the battle for survival and breaking the chokehold of the starvation weapon that Israel exercises with American complicity and participation, in a manner that the history of "military honor" knows more of as baseness and treachery. This comes after all methods of bombing, destruction, and displacement have been executed to subjugate the Palestinian people in Gaza and force them to raise the white flag.

Despite the destruction, displacement, bombing, killing, and continuous starvation for nearly two years in the ugliest genocide known in modern history, the Israeli army is present in Gaza, "with sin between its legs," according to the words of reserve General Yitzhak Brik, who appeals to the political leadership to end the war, claiming that he has completed the mission, at a time when 30,000 Hamas fighters continue their "guerrilla" war from underground, without the devastation wreaked by the Israeli army above ground affecting their performance. Meanwhile, Gideon Vehicles' operation, according to Brik, has failed to defeat Hamas or liberate the captives as promised by the new Chief of Staff.

Brik, who warned at the beginning of the war about the Israeli army's inability to defeat Hamas and liberate the captives through military means, writes in an article titled: "The Puppet, the Dwarf, the Frenzy – the Three Leading Israel to the Abyss," referring to Benjamin Netanyahu, Yisrael Katz, and Ayal Zamir, who are leading to the killing of soldiers and wasting the lives of captives under the cover of empty statements that carry no weight. Brik calls for the Chief of Staff to resign if Netanyahu refuses to stop the war, instead of continuing to lead soldiers to their deaths, especially knowing well that they are dying in vain, serving "messianic extremists" who are indifferent to the realities on the ground because they believe that God will perform miracles for them, and they control Netanyahu's decisions.

Of course, Brik and other political and military analysts are not concerned about what is happening in Gaza and its residents in terms of destruction, death, and starvation if it achieves the goals of the political and military war, and they only speak from the standpoint of Israel's interest and concern for the lives of its soldiers and captives, whose continued existence of this futile war puts their lives at risk without fruit.

It is no surprise that the overwhelming support for the war that characterized Israeli society at its beginning has turned into widespread opposition, reflected – according to opinion polls – in more than 80% of Israelis supporting its cessation and the liberation of hostages through a political deal, and that voices accusing Netanyahu of prolonging the war to maintain his government coalition and evade accountability in his criminal files have been increasing and intensifying, even if their actual impact is still limited.

Political analyst in "Haaretz" newspaper, Tzvi Barel, removes the quotation marks from Ayman Odeh's words: "Gaza has emerged victorious, Gaza will win," as he states that Gaza's victory has begun to manifest as a reality. Gaza, with its weak, starving, killed, injured, and orphaned people, continues what Hamas began on October 7, and its victory grows larger as the Israeli army expands its control over the land and confines the two and a quarter million residents into starvation ghettos, while continuing to fill the death toll with numbers of casualties.

There is no doubt that the curse of Gaza will haunt the Zionists and Israelis throughout history and around the world. In the words of former Mossad operative Rami Egra, the world will find a reason to hate Israelis and Jews, "and the images coming out of Gaza will say what the world has never told us, not businessmen or thieves, but we have turned into child killers and starvers of humanity... and this is a price we will pay ourselves and our descendants." He adds: "We may fight until we kill the last Hamas fighter, roughly a million people, but then we will not remain part of the family of nations, and what state will it be then?"!!
