Mustafa briefs Arab ambassadors in Baku on developments in the Palestinian issue and strengthening joint coordination
SadaNews - Today, Friday, Prime Minister Muhammad Mustafa met in the Azerbaijani capital Baku with Arab ambassadors accredited to the Republic of Azerbaijan, as part of efforts to enhance joint coordination and rally support for the Palestinian cause, in the presence of the Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Ambassador Omar Awad Allah and the Palestinian Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ahmed Mitani.
Mustafa provided a comprehensive presentation on the developments of the difficult field and humanitarian situations in Palestine, reviewing the repercussions of the ongoing occupation aggression in the Gaza Strip, the closure of the sector's crossings, and the obstruction of the entry of reconstruction and recovery supplies. He discussed the continuous violations and assaults by settlers in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, and the ongoing detention of Palestinian tax revenues, stressing the necessity of intensifying joint Arab diplomatic movements to pressure for the cessation of aggression and to protect our people.
The Prime Minister also informed the Arab ambassadors about the results of his fruitful meetings with Azerbaijani officials, which focused on enhancing bilateral relations and Azerbaijan's steadfast support for Palestinian rights.
In this context, the Prime Minister reviewed the results of his recent participation in the Brussels meetings as part of the Palestine Donors Conference, where he discussed with international partners ways to enhance economic and financial support to bolster the resilience of the Palestinian people and their institutions in light of the current financial crisis.
For their part, the Arab ambassadors affirmed their countries' continued support for the Palestinian people, emphasizing the importance of ongoing coordination and unifying positions in all regional and international forums to advocate for the Palestinian cause.
