Iranian Revolutionary Guard: Strikes Will Continue Until Calm Returns to the South of the Country

SadaNews - The commander of the Aerospace Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Majid Mousavi, vowed on Friday that Tehran would not halt its attacks in the region until the United States stops its strikes on Iran's southern coast and the Strait of Hormuz.

Mousavi stated in a post on social media, "Every inch of Iranian land is counted in our calculations; Tehran and the south form one unit," adding, "Our effective and precise strikes launched from various parts of Iran against the enemy will continue until calm returns to the southern coast and the Strait of Hormuz."

The American bombardment on Iran since June 22 has resulted in at least 38 fatalities and more than 400 injuries, according to Tehran, on the eve of a night that witnessed the most extensive American strikes against it since the recent escalation began.

Iranian media reported casualties and injuries, as well as targeted bridges between Bandar Abbas and Shiraz and in Hormozgan Province, late Thursday to Friday, in addition to an airport in Iranshahr in Sistan and Baluchestan Province.

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated on Friday that it bombed the Tanf military base in Syria. A statement published by Iranian television reported that "the Revolutionary Guard announces the execution of a surprise attack on the enemy's special operations command center in the Tanf area of Syria," noting that the United States had announced in February its withdrawal of forces from this base and handed it over to Syrian authorities.

The Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that a child was injured as a result of shrapnel from intercepting an Iranian missile attack targeting the country.

The Jordanian army also stated in a statement on Friday that its air defenses intercepted three Iranian missiles targeting its territory, with no injuries or material damage reported.

The Kuwaiti army announced on Friday that its air defenses repelled missile attacks and drone strikes, while warning sirens went off in Bahrain, following a new wave of American airstrikes on Iran.
