Assaults by Occupation Forces and Settlers in the West Bank and Jerusalem

SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces stormed the Suf Marhaba neighborhood in the city of Al-Bireh today, Monday, amid heavy military presence in the area.

Local sources reported that the occupation forces took control of the roof of a building on the eastern side of the neighborhood, overlooking the "Biskot" settlement established on citizens' lands, with dozens of soldiers completely controlling the site.

The sources added that the incursion was accompanied by a wide spread around the neighborhood, while the nature of the actions carried out by the occupation forces in the area remains unknown so far.

Meanwhile, occupation forces razed lands and constructed a colonial road in the lands of the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya, south of Nablus.

Local sources indicated that the occupation bulldozers razed areas of citizens' lands belonging to the village of Al-Lubban Al-Sharqiya to expand the "Ayli" settlement established on the town's lands.

Settlers attacked citizens' vehicles with stones on the road connecting the towns of Silwad and Yabrud, east of Ramallah, putting citizens' lives at risk.

Local sources reported that groups of settlers gathered under the Yabrud bridge, on the road leading to the town of Silwad, and attacked passing vehicles with stones, causing fear and panic among citizens using the road.

The sources added that, as of the preparation of this news, no information was received about any injuries or damages, while the area is experiencing a state of tension due to the continued presence of settlers in the region.

In Jerusalem, teams from the Israeli municipality, accompanied by forces from the occupation police, stormed the Jabal Al-Mukabber neighborhood southeast of occupied Jerusalem today, Tuesday, distributing demolition notices and construction violations against several citizens' homes, under the pretext of unauthorized construction.

Local sources reported that the municipality teams conducted a field tour of the neighborhood under the protection of occupation forces, delivering demolition orders and construction violations to a number of citizens, as part of the occupation's policy aimed at tightening restrictions on citizens and imposing strict limitations on construction and urban expansion in occupied Jerusalem.

In a related context, Israeli occupation forces intensified their military measures at the entrance of the Kafr Aqab neighborhood north of occupied Jerusalem, causing a severe traffic jam and a large number of citizens’ vehicles to be lined up, obstructing their movement for hours.

The occupation continues to impose strict restrictions on citizens' movement in the city of Jerusalem and its surroundings, alongside escalating demolition policies and violations against their homes, as part of measures aimed at reducing the Palestinian presence in the city.

Meanwhile, occupation forces arrested four citizens working at the landfill site in the Khuneidq area in the town of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem.

The Jerusalem Governorate clarified in a statement that those arrested are: a waste collection driver, two workers, and the landfill guard, after occupation forces stormed the area.

It added that the occupation forces set up a flying military checkpoint in the Khuneidq area and began checking citizens' vehicles and scrutinizing their identities, which obstructed their movement in the area.

The Jerusalem Governorate affirmed that these measures are part of the occupation's policy aimed at tightening the grip on citizens and disrupting basic service facilities, calling on human rights and international organizations to intervene to stop the ongoing violations against the people of the governorate.
