Young Man Killed in Stabbing Incident in Jerusalem

SadaNews - Young man Omar Zahran (30 years old) from East Jerusalem died this morning, Monday, from serious injuries sustained after being stabbed last night, Sunday, on Yafo Street in downtown Jerusalem.

The death toll of murder victims in the Palestinian community within the territories of 1948 has risen to 144 since the beginning of this year, amidst continuing escalation of violence and organized crime, with ongoing accusations against the Israeli government and police for their failure to take effective measures to curb this phenomenon.

Data shows that the majority of the victims lost their lives in gun violence, while criticism of the performance of the Israeli police is increasing due to their failure to combat crime organizations and their inability to track down the perpetrators of many murders and bring them to justice.
