Netanyahu: Trump and I Are in Agreement

SadaNews - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Sunday that he and U.S. President Donald Trump agree on visions, noting that any differences that may arise between them are discussed openly and transparently to reach solutions.

Netanyahu added to "Fox News": "Differences may arise between us, but we discuss them openly and transparently, and we usually reach solutions."

He continued: "Trump is America's leader and does what serves its interests, and I am Israel's leader and do what serves its interests. I do not believe there is a rift in my relationship with Trump."

On Saturday, Trump revealed that the Israeli Prime Minister requested a meeting with him at the White House, indicating that the meeting could take place early next week after his return from the NATO summit.

Trump explained in a statement to "Axios" over the phone: "Our relationship is very good. (Netanyahu) knows who the leader is."

In contrast, an Israeli official dismissed the possibility of the meeting taking place next week, suggesting that the timing may be too early due to Trump's upcoming visit to Turkey for the NATO summit scheduled for July 7 and 8. The official added, "The meeting may take place in the following week."

These moves come amid reports of increasing skepticism and concerns among Trump's close aides regarding Netanyahu's performance in the months following their meeting last February.

The report cited an American official saying: "Many of Trump's closest advisors believe that Bibi (Netanyahu) has been wrong about everything."

Last month, Trump strongly criticized Netanyahu during a phone call over the escalation of Israel's military actions in Lebanon, describing the Israeli Prime Minister as "crazy" and accusing him of "ingratitude."
