According to Channel 7, as translated by SadaNews, Netanyahu reached an agreement with the chairman of the Likud Central Committee to grant him 8 seats of his choice among the first 25 seats, and two additional seats up to the fortieth position.

A permanent committee was decided to be formed to keep most current Knesset members in their positions, and it was agreed to allow Knesset members to run in electoral districts if they feel there is a possibility of a drop in their ranking.

The Likud party institutions are set to vote next week on the decision that was reached.

Last month, Netanyahu proposed to completely cancel the primary elections and transfer the authority to choose the list to the party conference, which sparked widespread anger among Knesset members and other members of the Likud party.
