A New Israeli Poll Shows Eizenkot's Supremacy in the Opposition Front
SadaNews Translation - A new Israeli poll, the results of which were published on Tuesday evening on the Kan Reshet Hebrew channel, shows an increase in the strength of the "Yashar" party led by Gadi Eizenkot, making it the leading force in the opposition following a decline in the coalition of parties led by Naftali Bennett and Yair Lapid.
According to the poll, the Likud party led by Benjamin Netanyahu has lost one additional seat compared to the last poll after the announcement of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States and Iran, bringing it down to 23 seats if elections were to be held these days. As SadaNews translated.
Eizenkot's party comes in second place with 21 seats instead of 17, while the Bennett-Lapid coalition ranks third with 17 seats, down from 23 in the last survey.
The Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman secures the fourth position with 10 seats, while the Religious Zionism party headed by Itamar Ben Gvir reaches 9 seats, and the Democratic Party led by Yair Golan also obtains 9 seats, along with 9 seats for the Shas party, 7 for the other Haredi party, United Torah Judaism, and the Hadash-Ta’al Arab coalition with 7 seats. Each of the Religious Zionism led by Bezalel Smotrich, and the United Arab List receives 4 seats.
Netanyahu remains the most likely candidate for the Israeli Prime Ministership, according to a poll that included all participants who were asked about Naftali Bennett, Gadi Eizenkot, and Avigdor Lieberman.
Among opposition voters, most of whom support Eizenkot's leadership of the bloc, Bennett's support rate stands at 44% compared to 36%.
Among the poll participants, only 18% supported the agreement signed between the United States and Iran, while 55% opposed it.
Seventy percent still fear the Iranian threat, even after Operation "Lion's Roar" and the signing of the agreement.
When asked if they felt safe nearly three years after the events of October 7, only 26% responded that their sense of security had increased, while 39% said they feel less secure.
Forty percent of participants believe that U.S. President Donald Trump will continue to be viewed as a "great friend of Israel" even after signing the agreement, while 32% believe his stance towards Israel will change, and the rest remain uncertain.
