The Doctors' Syndicate Calls on the Government to Adopt a New Salary Mechanism and Affirms Its Readiness to Escalate
SadaNews: The Palestinian Doctors' Syndicate has submitted a proposal to the government to pay a full salary to every employee in the public sector who earns no more than 5,000 shekels, and to provide a sum of 5,000 shekels to those whose salaries exceed that amount, in addition to continuously paying for overtime work.
The syndicate emphasized that adopting this proposal before Eid Al-Fitr would help employees meet their living obligations.
It added, "If our demand is not met, we will continue to escalate to preserve the rights of our employees."
Doctors in government hospitals continue their open strike in protest of the salary crisis, limiting their services to emergency cases and life-saving interventions only, while excluding kidney diseases, cancers, blood diseases, and childbirth cases from the strike.
The syndicate explained that the strike is part of escalation measures to preserve the rights of workers in the health sector, warning that ignoring its demands will lead to continued protest actions.
