Netanyahu Leaves Court to Attend Security Meeting
SadaNews - Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced during his trial that he had to attend a security meeting, and the judges agreed to this after they had rejected his request to shorten the duration of his appearance before the court in corruption cases, while President Isaac Herzog called for an out-of-court settlement.
Netanyahu said at the beginning of the session: "I requested this, but my request was not accepted, and I need to head to the Kiryah for a specific conversation."
The "Kiryah" area is located in the heart of Tel Aviv and includes several prominent military and government facilities, including the headquarters of the Israeli Ministry of Defense and the fortified underground "Bunker". In November 2024, it was targeted by Hezbollah with drones and "Qader 2" missiles.
Netanyahu had appeared on Tuesday before the Tel Aviv District Court for the 81st time and for the first time since the outbreak of the war with Iran on February 28.
Netanyahu faces charges of corruption, bribery, and breach of trust in three cases that could result in imprisonment if he is convicted. The legal adviser to the government submitted an indictment related to these charges at the end of November 2019.
