Election Committee: A Media Center Available for Journalists and Guests on Voting Day
SadaNews - The Central Elections Commission has stated that it is working, as part of its preparations for the local elections scheduled for next Saturday, to set up a media center at its headquarters in Al-Bireh city, to serve journalists, media professionals, and visitors to the commission on voting day.
The commission clarified that the media center consists of several photo and live broadcasting areas, along with advanced technical equipment, and specialized media teams from its staff to provide all the needs of journalists and media institutions.
Press conferences are scheduled to be held at the center on voting day and the day of announcing the results, in addition to providing a fully integrated working environment that includes continuous data updates, as well as technical and logistical facilities that support the work of journalists around the clock.
The commission invited media institutions and journalists to visit the center starting from the morning of Saturday, April 25, until the evening of Sunday, April 26, and to benefit from the services it offers.
It affirmed that the establishment of the media center is part of its commitment to enhancing transparency and facilitating the access of information to the media and the public, allowing for the monitoring of the electoral process in real-time, covering 183 local authorities, including Deir al-Balah.
The commission also pointed out that the local elections will be conducted in accordance with international standards for integrity and transparency, under extensive supervision, with more than two thousand local and international observers as well as hundreds of journalists and media professionals across various governorates accompanying the electoral process.
It emphasized the important role that the media plays in conveying an accurate picture of the electoral process, urging them to make use of the services of the media center in a way that contributes to providing comprehensive professional coverage that enhances citizens' trust.
