Trump Announces Extension of Ceasefire with Iran
SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday that the ceasefire with Iran will be extended until an Iranian proposal is submitted and negotiations are concluded.
Trump added, "I have directed our armed forces to continue the blockade and remain on high alert and ready to act."
Earlier on Tuesday, NBC reported that Trump met with Vice President Mike Pence, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and his son-in-law Jared Kushner to discuss the next steps regarding Iran.
Iranian media reported that the Iranian negotiating team informed Washington through Pakistan that they would not attend a meeting in Islamabad and that there are no prospects for participating in negotiations.
