U.S. Army Suffers from Ammunition Stock Shortage
SadaNews - CNN reported on Tuesday that the U.S. Army is significantly suffering from the loss of its stock and military equipment.
The channel quoted sources stating that the U.S. Army has heavily drained its stock of key missiles during the war with Iran.
The sources added: During the war, the U.S. Army consumed half of its stock of precision strike missiles, THAAD missiles, and Patriot missiles.
It indicated that the U.S. Army consumed one-third of its Tomahawk missile stock and 20% of its long-range cruise missiles during the war.
It noted that the depletion of missile stocks has raised the risk of running out of ammunition if a war breaks out in the coming years.
It is expected that the shortage of missiles will take 4 to 5 years to replenish.
Meanwhile, the Pentagon spokesperson stated, "We have everything we need to conduct operations at the time and place determined by the President."
This report comes at a time when political events indicate the potential failure to hold new talks with Iran, amid threats from President Donald Trump about the possibility of returning to war.
