Israel Admits Damage to Oil Refineries in Haifa Due to Iranian Missile Launches

SadaNews - Iran targeted oil refineries in the city of Haifa with missiles launched towards the country on Thursday evening, and the Israeli army admitted to their damage. Israeli rescue teams stated that there is no fear of hazardous material leakage, confirming that several vehicles at the site were on fire. Israeli reports mentioned that the oil refineries in Haifa "were not directly hit, but were affected by shrapnel resulting from interception," while the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the targeting of "the refineries in Haifa and Ashdod using 'Nasrallah' missiles, which we are using for the first time." Israeli Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Eli Cohen, stated that the damage caused to the electricity network in northern Israel as a result of the missile strikes is "limited and not significant," noting that crews from the electricity company "began field work and restored power to most of the affected areas." Cohen added that "electricity will return to the remaining areas in a short time," claiming that "no significant damage was reported in Israeli infrastructure sites" due to the recent strikes towards the north. The US-Israeli war on Iran continues for the third week, amid a noticeable increase in the pace and geographical spread of military operations.
