Settlers Interfere with a Tour by the Salfit Governor and the Russian Ambassador in Wadi Al-Matwi
SadaNews - On Monday, settlers intercepted a delegation that included Salfit Governor Mustafa Taqatqa and the Russian Federation representative to the State of Palestine, Ambassador Boutaichidze Goutcha, during a field tour in Wadi Al-Matwi in Salfit city, organized by the Salfit governorate for the Russian diplomatic delegation.
The tour aimed to assess the extent of colonial assaults and to follow up on the conditions of affected farmers in the area threatened by colonial expansion. The settlers intercepted the ambassador’s vehicle and a vehicle belonging to the Salfit governorate, directing verbal threats at the delegation and preventing them from continuing their presence on-site.
Governor Taqatqa confirmed that these assaults constitute terrorism by the settlers supported by the Israeli occupation government, calling on the international community to take immediate action to ensure the protection of civilians and official delegations.
For his part, Ambassador Goutcha expressed his grave concern regarding the incident, emphasizing the necessity of respecting international laws and protecting official delegations and citizens from any assaults.
