Israeli-American Denial of Reports on Kushner Meeting with Yasser Abu Shabab
SadaNews Translation - Israeli and American sources denied, this Tuesday evening, the reports broadcast by Al Hadath - Al Arabiya, about a meeting between U.S. envoy Jared Kushner and Yasser Abu Shabab, leader of one of the armed groups in the Gaza Strip.
According to Al Hadath - Al Arabiya, the meeting took place at the Civilian Military Coordination Center in Kiryat Gat, southern Israel.
An Israeli source told Reshet Kan Hebrew channel, as translated by SadaNews, that Abu Shabab did not arrive in Israel and of course did not meet Kushner at the American command in Kiryat Gat.
The source confirmed that Kushner has not visited the Civilian Military Coordination headquarters since the arrival of U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance at the headquarters.
A senior American official told Axios: the reports of a Kushner-Abu Shabab meeting are false.
Meanwhile, the newspaper Yisrael Hayom reported that Kushner said in internal discussions that the reconstruction of the sector on the western side of the yellow line will not begin until Hamas dismantles its weapons.
