Occupation hands over 30 demolition and construction halt notices in Al-Issawiya and Al-Za'aim east of Jerusalem
SadaNews - Israeli occupation forces handed over nearly 30 demolition notices targeting the homes of Palestinians in the towns of Al-Issawiya and Al-Za'aim, north of occupied Jerusalem.
The Jerusalem Governorate reported in a statement today, Wednesday, that occupation forces delivered about 15 notices to halt construction and demolish several homes last Monday, under the pretext of building without a permit. Additionally, 15 other notices were handed over in the Al-Saidi Bedouin community in Al-Za'aim, among those identified were: Ahmad Awda Saidi, Awda Ahmad Saidi, Khalid Awda Saidi, and Muhammad Awda Saidi.
The governorate added that the notices are part of a continuous Israeli escalation against Jerusalemite areas and are part of a systematic policy aimed at forcibly displacing residents and emptying the area of its inhabitants. This is also an attempt to impose a new demographic reality that weakens the Palestinian presence in the city and facilitates colonial expansion in its surroundings, as part of the E1 project within the larger plan known as Greater Jerusalem.
