Trump: If Hamas Does Not Act Right, Its End Will Be Quick and Severe
SadaNews - Today, Tuesday, U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that many of America’s allies have expressed their willingness to go to Gaza and eliminate the Hamas movement "with great force". However, he noted that there is no need for that at this time.
He wrote on the "Truth Social" platform: "Many of our great allies in the Middle East and surrounding areas have told me openly and strongly, with great enthusiasm, that they would welcome, at my request, going to Gaza with great force and disciplining Hamas if it continues to act poorly and violate its agreement with us."
He added: "I said to these countries and to Israel, not yet! There is still hope that Hamas will do the right thing. If it does not, Hamas's end will be quick and severe! I would like to thank all the countries that contacted to help."
Washington is intensifying its diplomatic efforts to establish a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, amid violations and delays in delivering the remains of hostages. In this context, U.S. Vice President Jay Dee Vance arrived in Israel today.
Hamas was supposed to return the bodies of 28 hostages by October 13, but it claims it needs equipment to lift the rubble and access them.
The Palestinian movement handed over the remains of a hostage to the Red Cross on Monday, bringing the number of returned bodies to 13. Israeli authorities announced on Tuesday that the body belongs to soldier Tal Hayimi.
