Fox News: Qatar Will Deliver a Message to Trump from Hamas Regarding Acceptance of a 60-Day Deal
SadaNews - American sources revealed on Monday that Qatar will deliver a message to U.S. President Donald Trump from Hamas leadership regarding a ceasefire in Gaza during this week.
According to what Fox News reported from those sources, the message stipulates that Hamas commits to a ceasefire for 60 days in exchange for a ceasefire conditioned on personal guarantees from Trump himself.
Under this deal, Hamas agrees to immediately release half of the Israeli hostages in its custody.
The sources stated that the message is in the hands of the Qataris.
It is said that administration officials hope this represents an opportunity to stop the war and resume talks that have been stalled since the Israeli attack on Doha.
It is noted that Israel has insisted in recent months on an agreement that includes the release of all hostages and has expressed opposition to any other agreement, even if it is phased.
The report did not mention the number of Palestinian prisoners Hamas is demanding, nor whether there are any additional demands alongside the 60-day ceasefire.
