The Wall Street Journal: Trump Does Not Want a Major Confrontation with Netanyahu
SadaNews - The American newspaper Wall Street Journal revealed, citing former and current U.S. officials, that U.S. President Donald Trump does not wish to enter into a major political confrontation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, despite the rising tensions in the region following the recent Israeli attack on Qatar.
According to the newspaper, Netanyahu has resorted to flattery and compliments to maintain his position with Trump, benefiting from the personal relationship they share, in an attempt to avoid any tension that might affect U.S. support for Israel.
The report also indicated that American concerns regarding Israel's security have diminished after Israel has been able to significantly weaken its regional adversaries, including Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the resistance in Gaza, and even Iran.
