Hamas Responds to Trump: Ready for a Comprehensive Deal
SadaNews - Hamas reiterated its position this Wednesday evening, expressing readiness for a comprehensive deal that would involve the release of all prisoners held by the occupation in exchange for an agreed-upon number of Palestinian prisoners held by the occupation.
The movement stated in a press release that the deal should include an end to the war on the Gaza Strip, the withdrawal of all occupation forces from the entire strip, and the opening of crossings to allow for all the needs of the region and the commencement of the reconstruction process.
It pointed out that it is still waiting for a response from the Israelis regarding the proposal that intermediaries presented to the movement on August 18, which the movement and Palestinian factions approved.
It also confirmed its approval for the establishment of an independent national administration of technocrats to oversee all affairs of the Gaza Strip and take responsibility immediately in all fields.
This statement was in response to remarks made by U.S. President Donald Trump, who said that Hamas must release all hostages at once for the situation in Gaza to change completely and for the war to end.
