Ooredoo Palestine Appoints Dr. Firas Melhem as Chairman of its Board of Directors
SadaNews - Ooredoo Palestine has announced the election of Dr. Firas Melhem as the new Chairman of the company’s Board of Directors, succeeding the late Mr. Mohammad Abu Ramadhan, the former chairman. Dr. Melhem joined the Board of Directors of Ooredoo Palestine in November 2025, representing the Palestinian Investment Fund, and is considered one of the prominent figures in the legal and banking fields.
Dr. Melhem's election came by unanimous vote from the Board members, reflecting confidence in his leadership experience and distinguished career.
He currently serves as the General Director of the Palestinian Economic Policy Research Institute (MAS), and has previously held the position of Governor of the Palestinian Monetary Authority.
In this context, Dr. Melhem stated: "I am honored by this trust and responsibility, and I look forward to contributing to enhancing the journey of Ooredoo Palestine and working with its team to continue achieving its remarkable successes in the field of telecommunications, and to drive the growth of the company’s indicators at the financial, commercial, and administrative levels, especially during this strategic phase."
