Russia announces the downing of 28 drones headed towards Moscow
SadaNews - Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin announced that at least 28 drones were shot down while heading towards the Russian capital within approximately one hour during the night from Thursday to Friday.
Sobyanin wrote on Telegram, "Emergency specialists are working at the sites where the debris fell."
In recent months, Ukraine has intensified its long-range drone attacks against Russia, particularly targeting energy infrastructure, aiming to deprive the Kremlin of a vital source of revenue to finance its war effort.
Last week, a Ukrainian attack caused a massive fire at an oil refinery in southeast Moscow.
