Trump: Iran Will Not Have Nuclear Weapons and We Will Use Its Money

SadaNews - U.S. President Donald Trump emphasized that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, stating that it "agreed to that 100%", adding, "We will take some of Iran's money and spend it to buy large quantities of American wheat, soybeans, and corn for the benefit of Tehran."

Trump's remarks came at a time when Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that "imposing fees on passage through the Strait of Hormuz cannot be a condition in any agreement with Iran." Meanwhile, Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif al-Zayani, who is also the head of the Gulf Ministerial Council, welcomed Muscat's announcement to establish a temporary corridor for ships in the Strait of Hormuz, which overlooks both the Sultanate of Oman and Iran.

Trump stated in remarks from the White House that "if Iran had nuclear weapons, it would have used them within the first hour", adding, "We will never allow that to happen", and indicating that "Iran will not possess nuclear weapons, and it has agreed to that 100%."

He added: "We had to act against Iran because its possession of nuclear weapons means the extinction of Israel and the Middle East and poses a great danger to the world", stating that "we have dealt a very severe blow to Iran, and we are now negotiating with them from a position of absolute strength."

The U.S. president clarified that "the Strait of Hormuz is open and yesterday saw the release of 19 million barrels of oil, the highest number in its history", adding that "oil prices are decreasing sharply, and the decline in oil is followed by a decrease in the prices of all other products."

Trump stated that reports claiming "Iran is better off today are fake news, and those people (who spread them) are crazy", adding that "Iran is very eager to strike a deal with us. I believe we might strike an agreement with them."

He continued, "We completely destroyed the Iranian military and its leadership, its planes, and its navy by 100% in just a week and a half", adding, "We sank 159 Iranian ships completely, and they are all at the bottom of the sea."
