Somaliland Opens Its Embassy in Occupied Jerusalem
SadaNews Translation - The President of Somaliland, Abdirahman Muhammad Abdullahi, inaugurated the embassy of his country in occupied Jerusalem on Monday evening.
According to the Israeli Foreign Ministry, as translated by SadaNews, this embassy is the seventh to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gidon Sa'ar, who participated in the opening process, expressed his view that this step is very important.
Prior to the opening, a meeting was held between them to discuss bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, security, and development, amid mutual signals to expand the path of rapprochement between the two sides.
Sa'ar stated that the path of relations, which began through previous communications in 2025, has resulted in friendship and mutual understanding.
He noted that both sides face attempts to undermine this relationship but stressed that such attempts will not succeed.
