Israeli Ambassador in Washington: We Hope the War with Iran Will End Within Two Weeks

SadaNews - The Israeli ambassador in Washington, Yair Lapid, confirmed in an interview with CNN that Tel Aviv hopes the war with Iran will end within two weeks, emphasizing that the primary goal is to end the conflict in a way that prevents Iran from threatening the region and the world in the future.

Lapid explained that Israel seeks to ensure that Iran does not possess a nuclear or missile program, and that Tehran must stop supporting its proxies in the region, including Hamas and Hezbollah. He added that achieving these goals through negotiations is considered a victory, regardless of how long it takes.

The ambassador indicated that the launch of ballistic missiles by Iran against neighboring countries must stop, affirming that Israel has been subjected to ballistic missile attacks and had to respond, a fact that U.S. President Donald Trump understands.

Lapid also pointed out that the conversations between Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu were friendly, explaining that Israel entered the war with Iran alongside the United States, and believes it will end with it as well.

He confirmed that Netanyahu is aware that Trump's agenda is broader in the context of his negotiations and that Israel does not wish to hinder those efforts.
