Reuters: Saudi Arabia Attacked Targets in Iran During the War
SadaNews - Two knowledgeable Western officials and two Iranian officials told Reuters that Saudi Arabia has launched several unannounced attacks on Iran in response to attacks carried out by Tehran on the kingdom during the Middle Eastern war.
According to these sources, the attacks were carried out at the end of March.
Iranian and Western sources stated that Saudi Arabia informed Iran about the attacks, after which there were intense diplomatic communications along with Saudi threats of further retaliation, leading to an understanding between the two countries to reduce tensions.
In a related matter, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, citing informed sources, that the UAE carried out military strikes on Iran.
The newspaper mentioned that the strikes, which the UAE did not acknowledge, included an attack on an oil refinery on Iran's Lauhan Island in the Gulf, adding that the attack occurred in early April.
