Election Committee: 53.44% Final Voter Turnout in the West Bank for Local Elections

SadaNews - The Central Election Commission announced the completion of the voting process for the 2026 local elections in the West Bank, as polling stations closed their doors at 7 PM, allowing voters present inside the polling stations to cast their votes after the specified time.

The committee confirmed in a press statement that the voting process proceeded smoothly and regularly, without any significant violations reported. It stated that the number of voters reached 512,510, out of a total of 1,029,550 eligible voters, resulting in a participation rate of 53.44% in the West Bank.

It was clarified that the committee's teams began counting the votes inside the polling stations in the presence of representatives of the lists, candidates, observers, and journalists. At the end of this process, the number of votes obtained by the candidate lists in each station will be published, followed by the aggregation of results and verification of the counting minutes, with the results being officially approved at the headquarters in Al-Bireh, in preparation for their announcement at a press conference on Sunday at noon, at the media center in Al-Bireh.
