Resistance to the Wall and Settlement: 2350 Violations Committed by the Army and Settlers in October
SadaNews - The head of the Wall and Settlement Resistance Authority, Minister Muayad Shaaban, stated that the Israeli occupation forces and settlers committed a total of 2350 violations during the month of October, continuing the series of ongoing terrorism perpetrated by the occupying state against the Palestinian people, their lands, and properties.
Shaaban clarified in the Authority's monthly report "The Violations of the Occupation and Colonial Expansion Measures," that the occupying army carried out 1584 violations, while settlers committed 766 violations. The majority of these violations occurred in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh with 542 violations, Nablus with 412 violations, and Hebron with 401 violations.
Shaaban indicated that the violations varied from direct physical assault, uprooting trees, burning fields, preventing olive pickers from accessing their lands, seizing properties, and demolishing homes and agricultural facilities, while the occupation forces close vast areas of Palestinian land under the pretext of "security," allowing settlers to expand within them.
He stated that these escalating violations confirm that what is happening is not isolated incidents, but an organized systematic effort aimed at emptying the land of its owners and imposing a complete racist colonial system.
A Palestinian Martyr at the Hands of Settlers and the Uprooting of 1200 Trees
Shaaban indicated that the 766 acts of settler violence, representing one of the peaks of settler terrorism targeting Palestinian villages and Bedouin communities, were concentrated in Ramallah and al-Bireh with 195 violations, Nablus with 179 violations, and Hebron with 126 violations.
He added that this large number of violations committed by settler militias, especially targeting olive pickers in Palestinian lands, can only be viewed as state terrorism, planned in the dark rooms of the occupying government while the terrorist militia carries it out devoid of the most basic morals and humanitarian rules. He added that this crime warrants a firm international stance to protect the Palestinian people and rescue the world from its ongoing moral crisis.
He noted that settler terrorist attacks led to the martyrdom of a citizen from Deir Jreer, named Jihad Muhammad Ajaaj (26 years old), in a direct shooting incident by settlers, bringing the number of citizens who have been martyred by settler gunfire since the beginning of the year 2025 to 14 martyrs. He added that settlers carried out 352 acts of vandalism and theft of Palestinian properties, affecting vast areas of land. Additionally, settler assaults, assisted by the occupation army, resulted in the uprooting, destruction, and poisoning of 1200 trees, all of which were olive trees, with 352 trees in Hebron, 320 trees in Ramallah, 150 trees in Tubas, 130 trees in Qalqilya, 237 trees in Nablus, and 10 trees in Bethlehem.
Attempts to Establish 7 New Colonial Outposts
He pointed out that settlers have attempted to establish 7 new colonial outposts since the beginning of October, which were primarily agricultural and pastoral in nature, dispersed with attempts to establish 3 colonial outposts on lands in Hebron Governorate, and 4 outposts in Nablus Governorate. Shaaban confirmed that the escalation in attempts to establish colonial outposts in recent times can only be under clear instructions from the political level in the occupying state, aiming to impose facts on the ground and further tear apart Palestinian geography, as settlers undertake the task of altering the land and then the official level translates this change into reality through legislation and establishing it into a colonial site that receives all services.
Seizure of 245 Dunams of Citizens' Lands
Shaaban stated that the occupation authorities seized a total of 244.816 dunams of citizens' lands in October through thirteen "military orders" aimed at military control, intended to establish buffer zones around settlements in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, Nablus, Qalqilya, Salfit, and Tulkarm, in addition to constructing barbed-wire fences and new colonial roads. Some of these orders designated areas declared as state land, and amendments were made to previous orders issued in 2005 and 2006 by adding areas to them to tighten the closure of settlements under the guise of buffer zones.
Demolition of 28 Facilities and Notification of 30 Others for Demolition
He noted that the occupation authorities carried out 25 demolitions during October, affecting 28 facilities, including 15 inhabited homes, 2 uninhabited homes, and 11 agricultural facilities, concentrated in Tubas Governorate with 7 facilities, Salfit with 4 facilities, and then in Hebron with the demolition of 3 facilities.
Shaaban pointed out that the occupation authorities distributed 30 notifications for the demolition of Palestinian facilities, continuing the series of restrictions on Palestinian construction and natural growth of Palestinian villages and towns, which these days is being expressed with a significant intensity in demolition operations. The notifications were concentrated in Hebron Governorate with 20 notifications, 8 notifications in Jerusalem, and one notification in each of Bethlehem and Jenin.
Study of 19 Structural Plans for Settlements
He added that planning bodies in the occupying state studied 19 structural plans for the benefit of settlements in the West Bank and within the municipal boundaries of the occupation in Jerusalem in October, with 12 plans for West Bank settlements and 7 plans for settlements within the municipal boundaries of the occupation in Jerusalem.
He added that these bodies approved 8 structural plans for West Bank settlements (including the ratification of two plans concerning the E1 project), and deposited 4 additional plans, through which 3524 new colonial units were approved on an area estimated at 2233.138 dunams.
Meanwhile, the municipality of the occupation in Jerusalem approved two plans and deposited for subsequent approval 5 plans concerning settlements within the municipal boundaries of the occupation in Jerusalem, totaling 1205 colonial units, on an area estimated at 28.549 dunams of citizens' lands.
