Saudi Arabia Announces the Formation of an International Coalition to Financially Support the Palestinian Authority
SadaNews - On Thursday evening, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan announced the establishment of the "International Coalition to Financially Support the Palestinian Authority", with the Kingdom donating $90 million.
He stated that they are engaged with the United States to end the Gaza war.
Bin Farhan added in a joint press conference with foreign ministers from several countries including Egypt, Jordan, Spain, Norway, and others after their meeting at the United Nations headquarters: "We will build a clear path and establish an effective mechanism to support the Palestinians, and that the two-state solution will ensure security and peace for the region."
He noted that 159 countries have announced recognition of the Palestinian state.
He said: "The realization of the Palestinian state has become an irreversible fact with growing international will."
He pointed out that the recent international meeting focused on turning the New York Declaration into an executive plan to support the cessation of war and ensure the unity of the West Bank and Gaza and empower the Palestinian Authority.
He said: "We are pleased that Washington is focused on ending the war in Gaza, which aligns with the establishment of the State of Palestine."
