Ukrainian Soldiers Poisoned by a Missile Targeting Russian Forces
SadaNews - A former fighter in the Ukrainian forces revealed that Ukrainian soldiers were poisoned after a missile containing toxic substances accidentally fell on them from a drone launched towards Russian forces.
The fighter from the Ukrainian volunteer battalion "Alexander Matrosov" stated in an interview with Russian agency "Novosti" that one of the Ukrainian soldiers tasked with explosives was preparing to use a toxic charge against Russian forces. However, the ammunition was misfired, leading to the leak of toxic gas in Ukrainian positions, resulting in several soldiers suffering from lung burns and varying degrees of poisoning.
He added that such incidents have occurred multiple times due to the weak stabilization systems of ammunition on Ukrainian drones.
He confirmed that the injured soldiers were excluded from military operations and were later transferred to battalion 425 to work as trainers.
The "Alexander Matrosov" volunteer battalion consists of former Ukrainian military personnel, most of whom are originally from the Dnipropetrovsk region, and they formed what they called a "Liberation Movement" that fights against the Ukrainian authorities.
